Are weeks of training those that are going on at the Universidad de la Republica in Montevideo.
From the 25th of March until the 5th of April 2019 the University of Cyprus is running courses on Renewable Energies and Photovoltaic (PV) for students involved in the Electrical and Energy Engineering programs.
George Georghius and his team on Solar PV forecasting and grid integration – composed by Spyros Theocharides and Nicolas Chatzigeorgiou – are holding lessons lasting from one to two hours on very interesting topics, like: battery storage features and grid integration, fundamentals of Building Integrated PV (BIPV), the Impact of storage systems on forecasting and vice versa, and many others.
All courses are held, not only in presence – and until now have been participating about 20 students – but are also filmed with the VC equipment bought by DIEGO budget: this allows students from Salto and Bahia Blanca to join the audience and to take actively part in the lessons.
In order to facilitate and stimulate the interaction at the end of each lecture session are planned open discussions about the main issues of the day. After all the main purpose of this educational experience is to improve the exchange of knowledges between students with a slightly different background.
